Pulled Pork Sandwiches



– pork butt / pork shoulder

– 1 IPA beer

– 1 bottle, BBQ sauce

– 1 sweet yellow onion, sliced

– choice spices (ie, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, etc.)


Take pork butt/shoulder, rinse, and place on a plastic cutting board. Slice away fat, while cutting large chunks of pork into smaller pieces. Mix with 1 IPA beer, 1 bottle of BBQ sauce, plus a handful of spices, in a crock pot/slow cooker.

Place heat on low, set the timer for six hours. If you don’t have a slow cooker, you can get away with a large pot, with heat set to low.

Uncover slow cooker, and spoon out cooked chunks of pork. Using a couple of forks, pull apart the solid chunks of meat, into a threadlike consistency. Add more BBQ sauce (if available), and cook for another hour on low.

If you’ve followed all steps outlined until now, you’ll be rewarded with a heaping plate of mouth-watering, pulled pork sandwiches.
