Since moving to New York, I couldn’t help but notice some of the eye-popping trucks that roam the streets of NY, presumably delivering packages and moving furniture between apartments. Some trucks were so out there that I began taking pictures of them.

Last Sunday (July 6, 2014) was the final day that Kara Walker’s “A Subtlety” exhibit at the Domino Sugar Refinery Plant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn was open to the public. Ten thousand people (myself amongst the throng) waited in line for hours in the baking sun to tour the massive Sugar Sphinx sculpture. The exhibit attracted over 130,000 visitors in total, including the likes of Jay-Z and Beyonce. Just weeks before the factory’s highly controversial demolition planned later this summer, I brought my camera along to take a piece of history home.

My passive existence among the maple trees took a fateful turn for the worse one autumnal afternoon when I first saw the brawny, thick-bearded mountain man meander his way through the forest with an axe clutched viciously in his right hand.
